video games
Undertale is the perfect video game. If you haven't played it, you should. I played it on the Switch, but it's available on most systems, including PC!
Fire Emblem: Three Houses is an incredible work of storytelling that may or may not have helped me fix a structural issue in one of my plays, lol. I've also logged an embarassing number of hours on Tetris Puyo Puyo Adventure.
books
My favorite book of all time is the His Dark Materials trilogy. In Other Lands by Sarah Rees Brennan is a an incredible portal fantasy (with a bisexual Jewish protagonist) that should be far more popular. I read The Book of Eels by Patrik Svensson and now consistently bring up eels at parties (I'm very popular). I also love a contemporary romance novel or shoujo manga.
Tv & movies
Everyone knows about Bo Burnham's Inside at this point, but it's brilliant brilliant brilliant. I really loved Ted Lasso. Other shows I've enjoyed include Russian Doll, Bojack Horseman, Yuri On Ice, Battlestar Galactica, Avatar the Last Airbender, and Game of Thrones (let's pretend the last season didn't happen, though).
I also LOVE a Miyazaki movie or a magical girl anime.
Music
I've gotten in the habit of making elaborate themed Spotify playlists lately!
I love Mitski, The Mountain Goats, The Crane Wives, Anais Mitchell, and probably whatever indie music is trending on TikTok right now.
